මිහිතල මිතුරන්ගේ 25 වන සැමරුම් උළෙලට තවත් ඇත්තේ දින 43 කි. මේ දිනවල අපි නිදි වරාගෙන වැඩ.  අපි ස්වේච්ඡුා සංවිධානයක්. වැඩේ කරන්න ලොකු වියදමකුත් යනව. මිථ්‍යාව විකුණන්න පුළුවන්නම් මේ රටේ මුදල් හොයන එක කජ්ජක් නෙමෙයි. ඒත් අපි සත්‍යය වෙනු වෙන් පෙනී සිටින හා ඉතාම අමාරු දුෂ්කර වැඩක් කරන මිනිස්සු. අපිට සල්ලි හොයන්න අමාරුයි. ඒක තමයි යතාර්ථය. 

25th Anniversary of Mihithala Mithuro( Earth Friends)  has 43 more days. These days we are working sleepless . We are a voluntary organization. There is a huge cost involved. Making money is easy if the myth is marketable. But we are people who stand for the truth and work very hard. It's hard for us to make money. That's the reality.

කෙනෙකුට හිතෙන්න පුළුවන් ඇයි ඔය තරම් මහන්සි වෙලා සැමරුම් වැඩසටහනක් තියන්නෙ කියල. නිකම් උත්සව තියල ඇති පලේ මොකක්ද නිකං මුදල් නාස්තියක් විතරයිනෙ කියල හිතෙන්න පුළුවන්. . 

One might wonder why there is such a celebration of hard work.One might think What's the point of just celebrating? that festivals are worthless and that it is just a waste of money.

පෙනුම යනු හරය නොවේ. මෙම සැමරුම් උත්සවයේ වැඩසටහන්වල අන්තර්ගතය දෙස බලන්න. අපි අපේක්ෂා කරනු ලබන ප‍්‍රතිඵලයන් වලට අනුව වැඩසටහන් සැළසුම්ව ඇත.

Appearance is not the core. Take a look at the contents of this celebratory event. Programs are planned according to the results we have been expecting.

මේ වන විට පාසල් සිසුන් අතර චිත‍්‍ර තරගය ඇරඹි ඇත. සැප්තැම්බර් 20 වන දා දවස පුරා පාසල් පරිසර නියමුවන් 150 ක් ඉලක්ක කර පැවැත්වෙන වැඩසටහන හරිත ලෝකයක් දිනා ගන්නා අනාගත නායකයන් ගොඩ නගන සුවිශේෂි වැඩසටහනකි.',

The art competition among school children has already begun. The program, which will be held on September 20, will feature 150 school environment pioneers throughout the day, a unique program to build the future leaders of a green world.

එදින වැඩසටහනට එවරස්ට් කන්ද තරණය කළ ශී‍්‍ර ලංකාවේ එකම කාන්තාව වන ජයන්ති කුරුඋතුම්පාල මහත්මිය ද සහභාගි වන අතර දැවැන්ත අභියෝග ජය ගැනීමට ඇය තුළ තිබූ ශක්තීන් හා ගුණාංග පිළිබඳව දරුවන් හා ඇය අත්දැකිම් බෙදා ගනු ඇත.

Miss. Jayanthi Kuruuthampala, the only woman in Sri Lanka who has climbed Mount Everest, will be participating in the day's event and will share with the children and experiences about her strengths and qualities to overcome the huge challenges.

එවැනි වටිනා චරිත කිහිපයක් එදින දරුවන්ට මුණගැසෙනු ඇත. මෙය දරුවන්ට ලැබෙන දුලබ අවස්ථාවකි. එදින වැඩසටහන අවසන් වන විට අනාගතයේ ඉදිවන හරිත ලෝකය දිනන්නට සමත් පරිසර කි‍්‍රයාධරයින් පිරිසක් අපට උරුම වනු ඇතැයි අපි විශ්වාස කරමු.

The children will meet some of those precious characters that day. This is a rare opportunity for children. We hope that by the end of the day, we will have a group of environmental activists who will win the future green world.

සැප්තැම්බර් 21 අපි වෙන්කරල තියෙන්නෙ ප‍්‍රජාව වෙනුවෙන්. එදිනට ප‍්‍රජා සත්කාරක වැඩසටහන් රැුසක් කි‍්‍රයාත්මකයි. 22 දා අපේ සැමරුම් උත්සවය. එදින හැන්දෑවෙ සිංහල සංගීත වංශයේ අපූර්ව ගීත පෙළහර විඳ ගන්න ඔබට අවස්ථාව උදාවෙනවා.


September 21st is dedicated to the community. There are many community outreach programs on that day. Our celebration on the 22nd. In the evening you will have the chance to enjoy some wonderful songs from the Sinhala music history.

මේ සියල්ල කරන්න සල්ලි තියෙන්න ඔ්නි. වෙනද වගේම මෙදා පාරත් අපේ රටේ ජනතාව කෙරෙහි අපි විශ්වාසය තබනව. අපේ බොහෝ වැඩවලට ආධාර කළේ අපේ රටේ ජනතාව. 1999 අවුරුද්ද පුරාම මහඑළ්යතැන්නෙ අපි ‘‘ඉයුලෙක්ස් ’’ කියන ආක‍්‍රමණික ශාකය ඉවත් කරන්න ජාතික ශ‍්‍රමදානයක් කළා. ඒකට රටේ හැම පැත්තෙන්ම ජනතාව ආව. ජනතා පරිත්‍යාග මත තමයි ඒ මුළු වැඩසටහනම කි‍්‍රයාත්මක උනේ.

We need money to do all this. We believe in the people of our country too. It is the people of our country who have supported many of our projects. Throughout the year 1999 in Mahaeliya Thanna ( Hortan planes)  we have made a national effort to remove the invasive plant called "Eulex" People came from all parts of the country. The whole program was based on the donations of the people.
